The name “Elouera,” meaning “a beautiful place” in the indigenous Australian language, captures the essence of this uniquely Australian vineyard. Framed by the majestic Brokenback Range to the southwest and the pristine Barrington Tops to the northeast, it is a landscape of unparalleled beauty.
The extraordinary terroir of the vineyard, nestled in the Hunter Valley—Australia’s oldest winemaking region—is defined by cool, misty mornings, sunlit days, and diverse soils.
Vines over 50 years old produce wines of exceptional character: rich clay hilltops nurture bold, structured Shiraz, while low-lying sandy soils yield Semillon of elegance, crisp acidity, and remarkable longevity.
High-school sweethearts Peter and Yvette Mobbs, along with their three daughters, are devoted stewards of this iconic vineyard.
